More Than Good Looks About This Pagethree Girl

Talented mare Imapagethree Girl ($6) remains undefeated after her second career win at Ballarat last week. The flashy daughter of Press Statement showed tactical versatility on her home track, rolling forward in the early stages to camp second behind A Good Yarn ($12), who set a solid tempo throughout. In contrast to her fast-finishing debut win at Swan Hill in August, the four-year-old mare was the first to tackle the leader, jockey Jaylah Kennedy hitting the front with 100-metres left to travel and holding off the late challenge from Zouthur ($7), who enjoyed a soft trail in the run. While successful up to 1000-metres so far, the young hoop indicated this mare can continue to improve when stepped out over further in future runs. “The way she picked-up when we balanced up was really impressive. I think she’s going to on with it.

“I wouldn’t see why stretching her out would be a problem”.

Henry was confident early in the race that the result would go his galloper’s way. “She was terrific.

“Once they’d gone 100-metres, it was pretty clear she was going to be hard to beat”.

Imapagethree Girl has come through the run in good order and will push on to the races next weekend, with a couple of suitable options available at Ballarat and Werribee.
