Henry Dwyer Racing – Wednesday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today at Bendigo in HONORABLE MENTION.

The rail goes from the 6m position out to the 9m spot for today’s meeting and with fine weather forecast it could get an upgrade to a Good 3. Light winds won’t have an impact on racing but when the track is firm at Bendigo it’s often advantageous to be handy to the speed.

Bendigo – Good (4)

Race 3 (2.10pm) Rankins Catering BM70 Handicap

No.6 HONORABLE MENTION – Michael Poy (Barrier 7)

HONORABLE MENTION heads to Bendigo today to run in a 1500m Benchmark 70. He has drawn gate seven and Michae Poy will ride.

HONORABLE MENTION has been racing well on the Ballarat Synthetic of late and he only needs to transfer that good form to turf to be in the finish here. He’s down in grade here off a strong run over 1500m last start and he maps to get a reasonable trail, just behind the two leaders. The wide draw is a plus for him as he needs galloping room to make his run.

The race sets up well for him today and if he maintains his current form he will be more than competitive.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $6 (as at 8am)
