Henry Dwyer Racing – Wednesday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in TARZ LE ROSE running at Geelong.

Geelong – Good (4)

This is a twilight meeting and with warm weather forecast the track should be well into the Good 3 range come race three on the card. The rail is back to the true having been out 8m at the most recent meeting and you’d suggest those nearer the fence and on speed will have some edge with fresh ground to race on.

No.10 TARZ LE ROSE – Michael Dee (Barrier 2)

TARZ LE ROSE heads to Geelong today where she will debut in a 1200m Maiden. She has drawn gate two and Michael Dee will ride.

TARZ LE ROSE has had three jump-outs leading into this and she looks to have a decent amount of ability. The $130,000 purchase from the Karaka sales profiles as a filly that will get better as the distances get longer but the 1200m looks an ideal kick-off point for her. From gate two, she can lob into a nice trailing position without doing any work. Geelong is a nice track for her and Mick Dee will look to settle her where she is comfortable with cover.

It’s not a bad grade of race so while she will be competitive, she will probably need the run today and we are more looking to see her finish off to land in the first five rather than being a strong winning chance.
