The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today at Sandown in Mrs Sippy.
Sandown is rated a Soft 6 and with a shower or two in the forecast it certainly won’t improve. Racing is on the more spacious Hillside track at Sandown which features a lovely, 490m run home down the straight to the judge and generally all horses get their chance. Northerly winds of 20-30km/h will blow into their faces down the back straight.

No.9 MRS SIPPY – Damien Thornton (Barrier 9)
MRS SIPPY heads to Sandown today where she will contest a 1400m Fillies and Mares BM78. She has drawn gate nine and Damien Thornton rides.
MRS SIPPY makes her return to the track after a 27-week spell and the 1400m is an ideal trip for this mare fresh. Damien Thornton has a good affinity with this mare having produced three wins on her from seven rides so he clearly knows her well. This is a decent step in grade from where she was last preparation but she closed off her work really well in a recent jump-out around the tight-turning Burrumbeet circuit and she looks to have come back in good order.
She will improve off today’s run and should run in the first half of the field, hopefully she can snare a third or similar first-up and be primed for her next start.
