Henry Dwyer Racing – Wednesday preview

Sandown

Race 4 – Harbourmaster

Jockey – John Allen

1500m – Barrier 3

Progressive four-year-old Harbourmaster resumes for the Dwyer stable at Sandown this afternoon. The son of Cable Bay finished his three-year-old season on a high, breaking his maiden then winning in Adelaide before heading to the spelling paddock. He returns over a suitable 1500-metres here today following a pair of satisfactory jumpouts where he wasn’t asked to extend. Today’s race presents as the toughest test the gelding has faced and he will take improvement from the run, however his latest piece of work suggests he’s ready to be competitive in a seemingly even contest. I Am News was excellent last start when beaten by Our Redente, who has since won again at Ballarat. Maher/Eustace have their unbeaten gelding St Lawrence resuming today, he looked good in an Ararat jumpout. The chances don’t end there.

Currently, Harbourmaster is an $8 chance in the market.
