Henry Dwyer Racing – Wednesday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today with HELEVA DEEL running at Sandown.

Sandown – Good (4)

The track has come up a Good 4 after receiving 7mm of rain for the past week. The rail is out in the 8m position but it’s a wide track and all horses should get their chance. The Hillside track at Sandown has a lovely, long 490m straight and from the 1400m starting point they have a run of more than 400m before they start turning.

No.8 HELEVA DEEL – Jamie Kah (Barrier 8)

HELEVA DEEL heads to Sandown today where she will tackle a 1400m Maiden. She has drawn gate eight and Jamie Kah will ride.

HELEVA DEEL jumped-out nicely prior to resuming at Ballarat where she got home very well to finish third over 1200m. The form out of that race is solid with the winner, Foxy Frida, since running very well at Sandown on Sunday and although HELEVA DEEL is racing in town today, this looks a weaker maiden. Jamie Kah will have plenty of time to get her across from gate eight into a trailing position one off the fence by the time they hit the home bend and the step to 1400m here suits her better.

Second-up today at a more suitable distance, the barrier is a little bit sticky but with Jamie Kah on board it’s a big tick, and while she will derive further benefit from today and look to go to the mile next start, she is every chance to break her maiden today with luck in running.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $7.50 (as at 8am)
