Henry Dwyer Racing – Tuesday Preview

Swan Hill

Race 1 – Choux Beedoobee

Jockey – Harry Coffey

2400m – Barrier 4

Five-year-old galloper Choux Beedoobee gets out to 2400-metres when he travels to Swan Hill this afternoon. The gelded son of Jimmy Choux is second-up after failing to beat a runner home at Benalla five weeks ago, but a jumpout between runs suggests an improved effort is on the cards today. Blinkers go on for the first time, jockey Harry Coffey can find a trail throughout in the small field and look to run through the line late in the piece.

Just four rivals to consider here in a very moderate affair. Dashing Donkey has been around the mark of late, beaten under three lengths over 2600-metres at Ballarat last time out and getting the better of Choux Beedoobee by many lengths in the mentioned Benalla event. One placing from fifteen attempts to his name, yet will start an odds-on favourite in this. Does look the one to beat. Of the others, we’d need to see something we haven’t already seen to entertain winning hopes.

Expecting improvement from Choux Beedoobee out in trip and with blinkers applied today. He’s got some ground to make up on the favourite, but in a steadier-run contest should be able to keep grinding away to the line. Gets his chance today.

Currently, Choux Beedoobee is a $12 chance in the market.
