Henry Dwyer Racing – Tuesday preview

Kyneton

Race 6 – Kyteler

Jockey – Ryan Houston

1479m – Barrier 4

Four-year-old gelding Kyteler returns to his old stomping ground as he searches for his first win in thirty-nine weeks. The ex-George Osborne galloper has been racing well in similar grade of late, finishing third in two of his past three starts. Apprentice hoop Ryan Houston has drawn ideally and can roll forward to sit outside or behind likely leader Kermy in the early parts. The Phillip Stokes runner is racing consistently but is yet to win beyond 1400-metres and could prove soft in the last 100-metres. Seeking Glory is third-up and fitter after having almost a year away from the racetrack. She’ll settle in the second half of the field and be running on late. This is a big drop in class for her and shapes as hardest to beat here. Concede a chance to Throw At Da Stumps if he can run up to his fresh performance at this track. Kyteler is fit for recent racing and is drawn to get all the favours in the run. He’s well in at the weights after Houston’s three kilogram claim and the young jock will be full of confidence following a winning day on Friday. The Dwyer galloper has a tendency to race keenly but if he settles in the run he will give himself every opportunity to land in the winner’s stall today.

Currently, Kyteler is a $6 chance in the market.
