The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in LEOLAINE at Kilmore.
KILMORE – Good (4)
As of Monday, the track is rated a Good 4, and with fine, warm weather forecast, expect it to get up to a Good 3. At times, Kilmore can be a tricky track, with a downhill run before the home bend bringing many a horse undone. Momentum is key and backmakers need to get going before the home bend if they want to make late ground; cutting the corner is even better. (Form Analyst Matt Welsh)
RACE 2 (2pm) MC Security Maiden Plate 1200m
No.13 LEOLAINE– Liam Riordan (Barrier 10)
LEOLAINE (10) heads to Kilmore on Tuesday where she will contest a 1200m Maiden (Race 2, 2.00pm). She has drawn gate ten and Liam Riordan will ride.
LEOLAINE strikes this race third up and she should be at peak fitness now. Her two runs at Yarra Valley have been solid enough, including racing in restricted room late behind a very impressive winner last time out when stepping to the 1200m for the first time. Gate ten is a touch sticky for a filly that hasn’t shown explosive gate speed in the past but Liam Riordan is riding in good form. (Matt Welsh)
