The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in TOFFEE STREET running at Bendigo.
Bendigo – Good (4)
The track has come up a Good 4 and with much of Victoria set to dodge the rain that was forecast earlier in the week it may well get up to a Good 3. The rail is out 5m and you’d expect the track to race very well.
Race 1 (1.30pm) Bendigo Mazda 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate
No.11 TOFFEE STREET – Tahlia Hope (Barrier 6)
TOFFEE STREET heads to Bendigo today where she will contest a 1000m Maiden. She has drawn gate six and Tahlia Hope will ride.
TOFFEE STREET has a host of gear changes here including a barrier blanket to hopefully see her get away cleanly and a set of blinkers. She has been back to the jump-outs a couple of times between runs, winning her past two impressively. She has jumped well in those two recent bits of work and the recent Avoca jump-out where she wore the blinkers was outstanding. Her previous ratings are good enough to see her competitive here and there’s every reason to suggest she may have made further improvement.
She has drawn well and will come out neutral and ideally position herself in the first four, building momentum into the race. She has had plenty of work leading into this run so we expect to see her run well. It’s a strong enough race and while on ability she can win the race, we are more looking forward to seeing her run well and finish off strongly to fill the placings.
