Henry Dwyer Racing – Thursday preview

Warrnambool

Race 2 – Toffee Street

Jockey – Josh Cartwright

1000m – Barrier 9

Comeback galloper Toffee Street resumes her racing career today, more than a year after her last start at Bendigo in November 2021. She finished ninth there after enduring a wide run but has returned in terrific order and the stable will be keen to see her perform first-up at Warrnambool. The four-year-old daughter of Street Boss has looked good in two recent jumpouts, and if the mare brings her best barrier manners she should be going close in this maiden event. The market has identified Rich Paris as the one to beat after a promising debut behind The Guava in June. It returns on the back of a jumpout win, but the Dwyer runner has performed well fresh before and looks a major threat in this 1000-metre sprint.

Currently, Toffee Street is a $4 chance in the market.
