Henry Dwyer Racing – Thursday Night Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner tonight with VISTABELLE running at Pakenham.

Pakenham – Soft (6)

Pakenham is rated a Soft 6 and while the forecast is for largely dry weather, it probably won’t improve too much between now and tonight. The track is deep into its night racing season but it continues to race well. Pakenham is a beautifully laid out track with long runs int the bend and a 470m home straight.

Race 7 (9pm) Wise Choice Catering BM64 Handicap

No.12 VISTABELLE – Ben Allen (Barrier 8)

VISTABELLE heads to Pakenham tonight to contest a 1200m BM64. She has drawn gate eight and Ben Allen will ride.

VISTABELLE was a first up winner over 1100m last preparation when ripping home in good late fractions off an even tempo. She’s a mare that we’ve always had plenty of time for and her best is very good, but she does need to become more consistent. She had a jump-out at Geelong leading into this where she made strong late ground under hard riding. This race is stronger than what she won first up last preparation but she will be running on late at the end of 1200m.

She will go back from the barrier in this race, she’s seems in really good order since running poorly in her last couple of starts last campaign and we are more hoping to see an improvement rather than being a winning hope.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $17 (as at 3pm)
