Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Preview

Werribee

Race 7 – Riding High

Jockey – Madison Lloyd

1600m – Barrier 3

Returning jumper Riding High is first-up over a mile at Werribee this afternoon. The ten-year-old son of Raise The Flag has had a pair of recent jumpouts in preparation for today, where he’ll likely find the trip far too short to make an impact. Jockey Madison Lloyd rides from barrier three and will let her gelding find his feet in the early parts, finding cover in the second half of the field from the outset.

Speed comes from the middle of the line, with Caboteur, Queen Of Tayrona and Bellsprout all looking to roll forward early, while Landgrave can box-seat behind from the inside alley. Big Darryl will be forced back from a wide gate, but looks ready to go third-up from a spell. His effort at Pakenham last start was solid and he only needs to hold that form to be competitive here. Each way claims. Bellsprout led at this track/trip last start and was still right there in the last 100-metres. He’s fitter for two runs this campaign and can be in this for longer today. Caboteur hasn’t been beaten far in all of his four runs this time in, albeit in weaker company. He’ll get his chance from the front, though may paddle late. Queen Of Tayrona the other with each way claims coming back in grade today.

Riding High is on another jumping campaign and will use today as a fitness builder for later in his preparation. He does have a liking for this circuit (3:2-0-0), however he’ll find these too sharp over the mile trip today. Improvemennt to come.

Currently, Riding High is a $35 chance in the market.
