The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Bendigo in VISTABELLE and HEIR TO THE THRONE.
The rail is out 9m at Bendigo having been in the 3m position at the most recent meeting. With the track firming up as the day goes on it may be some slight advantage to be on speed, but generally Bendigo plays very well with its generous home straight.

No.8 VISTABELLE – Michael Poy (Barrier 8)
VISTABELLE heads to Bendigo today where she will tackle a 1100m BM64. She has drawn gate eight and Michael Poy will ride.
VISTABELLE was super winning first up at this track and trip. She relished a reasonable strong tempo before reeling off the 10th best last 400m split of the meeting to win pretty soft on the line. The first up win is a sign she’s ready to deliver on the early promise she has shown. She stays in 64 grade here but does take on the males and this is certainly a stronger race, but she’s certainly capable of making the necessary improvement second up.
The wider draw suits today, we should lob midfield with good speed on here, she hasn’t gone backwards since her last start win and this is a really nice stepping stone to a metro race in a couple of weeks. A good chance today.

No.3 HEIR TO THE THRONE – Michael Poy (Barrier 3)
HEIR TO THE THRONE resumes in a 1600m BM64 at Bendigo today. He has drawn gate three and Michael Poy will ride. .
HEIR TO THE THRONE is a ripper first up and based on how he jumped-out at Ararat, there’s every chance he can build on his good fresh record. His first jump-out was outstanding – ripping home from the tail to win impressively – and his soft jump-out at Colac recently suggested he was healthy and moving well. He resumed over 1400m at Ballarat fresh last campaign when desperately unlucky and the 1600m on Sunday is an even more suitable kick-off point. The little trick for him is there doesn’t look to be a huge amount of speed in the race and if that’s the case then Michael Poy might need to be positive early and use that low draw to advantage.
A horse that sometimes lacks that killer instinct, but first-up today he is every chance to win in what isn’t an overly strong race.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $6.50 (as at 8am)
