Packers Bond (8) heads to Ballarat on Sunday where he will tackle a 1400m BM64 (Race 7 3:55pm). He has drawn gate eight and Neil Farley will take the ride.
Packers bond steps out today on the home track of Ballarat over what will certainly be shorter than his desire distance. The checks come up a heavy eight but Ballarat has a tendency to be rated lower so it’s probably more of a soft 7. The conditions won’t affect him too much but from the wide gate of eight he will get back in the run and be hitting the line strongly down the outside. Will be competitive in what will be a lead up run before the step out to 2000m.(Stable)
