Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today in ALOR TU CROIS at Geelong and ROCK DEE JAY at Great Western

Geelong – Good (4)

The rail goes back to the true position so expect the inside section of the track to be fresh ground. The track will likely be upgraded from a good 4 to a good 3 early in the meeting and I suspect those horses on speed to have there chances.

Race 3 (2.30pm) Portarlington Beach Hotel Maiden Plate

No.11 ALORS TU CROIS – Fred Kersely (Barrier 9)

ALOR TU CROIS heads to GEELONG today where she will run in a 1400m Maiden. She has drawn gate nine and Damien Thornton will ride.

ALORS TU CROIS has been freshened up since her debut at Ararat where she over raced quite badly which was telling in the end. There has been some strong form come out of that race and both her jumpers prior and the support suggests she would run well. She has been back to the jumpouts between runs and went nicely. Being a daughter of So You Think the 1400m looks ideal for her to kickstart her campaign and this is a very even maiden.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $14 (as at 8am)

GREAT WESTERN

Great western is a track used only once a year but it’s not disadvantaged to be far from the pace. With hot weather around expect the track to be upgraded.

Race 3 (2:15pm) Ian Kirkpatrick memorial Maiden Plate 1210m

No.2 ROCK DEE JAY – Mitch Aitken (Barrier 1)

ROCK DEE JAY heads to GREAT WESTERN on Sunday where he will tackle a 1210m Maiden. He has drawn gate one and Damien Mitch Aitken will ride.

ROCK DEE JAY debuts in blinkers having had a stack of jumpouts and trials over the last six months. He looked to wear those blinkers at a Ballarat trial in the middle of the year where he went OK handy enough to the speed. I thought he was entitled to do more late under heavy riding at his recent Burrumbeet Jumpout but maybe those shades will help him sharpen up. Provided he jumps well off the inside alley he should hold reasonable spot near the speed

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $7.50 (as at 8am)
