Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Ballarat in PEACE BROTHER and THE DOMINATOR.

Ballarat – Heavy 10

Race 3 (2.20pm) Ajra How Good Is Jumps Maiden Hurdle

No.5 PEACE BROTHER – Chris McCarthy a(3) (Barrier 2)

PEACE BROTHER runs at Ballarat today where he will tackle a 3200m Maiden Hurdle. He has drawn gate two and Chris McCarthy will ride.

The track will be very heavy today but we are still happy to run PEACE BROTHER as he is very well within himself and his trial on the flat on Wednesday was great. The main issue is whether he will see the trip out today, he has a tongue tie on which will help as that impacted him last start when he got his tongue over the bit.

HOME BY MIDNIGHT and WAZUZU look very hard to beat but anything can happen in jumps racing and if we see out the trip we should be competitive.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $5.50 (as at 8am)

Race 5 (3.45pm) Ecycle Solutions BM120 Steeplechase

No.1 THE DOMINATOR – Steven Pateman (Barrier 5)

THE DOMINATOR also runs at Ballarat where he will tackle a 3200m BM120 Steeplechase. He has drawn gate five and Steven Pateman will ride.

Dropping back in distance from the Crisp to today’s race is highly suitable, carrying 72 kilograms on a bottomless heavy track is a challenge though, especially giving a horse like ASCOT RED a couple of kilos. Will be tough for our bloke today but you can never write him off.

He’s in good order, we are very happy with him and he can handle the wet, he will be out in front and it’s a matter of whether he can hold them off late.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $3.70 (as at 8am)
