Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today with HONORABLE MENTION at Ballarat.

Ballarat – Soft (5)

Race 8 (5.20pm) Hygain Winners Choice BM64 Handicap

No.5 HONORABLE MENTION – Damien Thornton (Barrier 3)

HONORABLE MENTION heads to Ballarat today where he will tackle BM64 race over 1400m. He has drawn gate three and Damien Thornton will ride.

HONORABLE MENTION should get a really nice run behind the speed from barrier three, he is on his home track today where he worked really well on Tuesday. He has had some lingering knee issues which may or may not be impacting his performance, off his work he is a great winning chance today but it’s whether he can let down under full race pressure. He was ok at Colac last start as he was in the wrong part of the track in a swooper’s race, the start before he couldn’t sprint quickly enough in a slowly run race. There is some lingering doubt as to whether he is letting down and today will tell us more if that’s the case.

He will run a good honest race, if he runs up to his best he can definetly win, but if having a bet then you are taking on some risk on what has been mentioned above. Fingers crossed he finds his best on his home track.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $17 (as at 8am)
