Moonee Valley
Race 5 – Not Enough Effort
Jockey – Madison Lloyd
1000m – Barrier 2
Seven-year-old gelding Not Enough Effort has his second start for the Dwyer camp today, following a sound performance fresh at Sandown. He finished fifth there beaten three lengths and hits today’s race fitter from the outing. The form from that race looks okay with runner-up Unflinching winning at his next start and third-placed Luna Cat starting favourite at The Valley later today. Madison Lloyd has drawn ideally in gate two and can hold a position near the speed throughout the race, tucking in behind likely leader Aminatu. South Australian visitor Jean Valjean has been backed into favouritism but there are many chances, including Aminatu and Mamagran. This is an open race and the Dwyer runner has claims to a top-three finish if the breaks come at the right time.
Currently, Not Enough Effort is a $16 chance in the market.
