Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday preview

Two runners to end the year for the Dwyer camp as we return to Saturday racing.

Moonee Valley

Race 8 – Hollerlujah

Jockey – John Allen

1200m – Barrier 8

Henry Dwyer-trained filly Hollerlujah contests a strong three-year-old race today as she looks to bounce back after a flat effort last start. The daughter of Holler has had three starts since her excellent debut win at Bendigo in April but has failed to feature against tough opposition. Today’s event looks no easier and her task has been made more difficult with jockey John Allen drawing a sticky outside gate. Allen will be forced back at the start and will need plenty of luck in transit to run into the prizemoney, but the stable are keen to see their runner finish strongly this afternoon. Peter Moody holds a strong hand here, his runners Cotel and She Dances both look good chances. Fasuto was very good last start and must be considered a winning hope. There is plenty of speed in this and if the leaders overdo it, Hollerlujah will have an opportunity to run on and collect some cash for connections.

Currently, Hollerlujah is a $46 chance in the market.

Warrnambool

Race 6 – Kyteler

Jockey – Tahlia Hope

1700m – Barrier 12

Stable newcomer Kyteler steps out to 1700-metres today at his second start for the Dwyer camp. The four-year-old son of Shamus Award was okay at Geelong last start but found the 1400-metre trip well short of his best. An improved effort is expected today, although Dwyer has indicated his galloper will be better suited out to 2000-metres and beyond. Jockey Tahlia Hope will jump from an outside gate and will look to find cover in the short run to the first bend. This is a very open event with the market unable to identify a clear favourite. Murray Factor ran second to Harbourmaster last week and looks a strong chance to go one better here.

Currently, Kyteler is a $46 chance in the market.
