Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday preview

Moscow Red is on the quick back-up today as the stable’s attention returns to South Australia.

Race 3 – Moscow Red

Jockey – Will Price

Barrier – 6

Border-hopping mare, Moscow Red, returns to the track only seven days since her luckless last start, sticking to the mile trip. Held up for clear running at vital stages of her Morphettville run last Saturday, the well-travelled nine-year-old will be looking to use the expanses of the spacious Murray Bridge circuit to build momentum and attack the line this afternoon. Will Price has drawn favourably in gate 6 and will look to get a cart into the race approaching the home bend, presenting his mount to run on and chase the leaders. Of her rivals, Yuri Royale and Big Sue come out of the same race at this track and distance a fortnight ago, where they ran first and second respectively. They both look to be key chances in the race, along with last-start Mildura winner, Revue, for the McEvoy yard.

From the trainer:

Murray Bridge is a much more suitable track for her.

With the weight drop, the bigger track and a bit of luck, she’ll be right there.

Currently, Moscow Red is a $7 chance in the market.
