PRAIRIE FLOWER heads to Cranbourne today where she will contest a 1000m 2YO Plate. She has drawn gate nine and Blaike McDougall will ride.
PRAIRIE FLOWER was good at The Valley first-up on debut when she didn’t have the best of luck there, where she raced wide the trip and loomed up on the corner to then ran out of gas late, which she was entitled to do. She meets a competitive field here and a wet track (currently a Heavy 9) which is a slight concern because we aren’t sure if she can handle it, but then again we don’t know if her opposition can either.
We have a very good opinion of this filly but the track is the unknown factor here.
