The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has four runners today:
ART DEALER at Colac
IRISH PLAYBOY and LA FALAISE at The Valley
RIDING HIGH at Dederang
Colac – Good (4)
Race 1 (1.06pm) Welcome to Geelong St Pats Cup Day
No.1 ART DEALER – Lucinda Boyd (Barrier 1)
ART DEALER heads to Colac today where he will tackle an 1200m 3YO Maiden. He has drawn gate one and Lucinda Boyd will ride.
Second-up today, he had a minor setback with a hematoma on his hamstring, which has meant he hasn’t been able to enjoy a gallop between runs. As a result he may need this run to derive further fitness, however it is only a small field here and he is a better class of horse than a maiden galloper and we probably won’t see the best of him until we put the blinkers on him.
He should run really well today, but mostly likely look to next start with blinkers on to be cherry ripe to win.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $4 (as at 8am)

The Valley – Good (4)
Race 6 (3.15pm) Adapt Australia Country Mile Series
No.3 IRISH PLAYBOY – Michael Poy (Barrier 14)
IRISH PLAYBOY heads to The Valley today where he will tackle the Adapt Australia Country Mile Series Final over 1600 metres. He has drawn gate fourteen and Michael Poy will ride.
This is the final of the five strikes or less whip series with a whopping $250,000 on offer for a Benchmark 84 race. IRISH PLAYBOY couldn’t have been more impressive in his win in the series heat at Pakenham when he put paid to the field after a dominant ride by Michael Poy who we retain today. While he will strip fitter still, the big question is whether the big loping son of Fastnet Rock will get around The Valley and his gallop on Tuesday indicated as much when he was all at sea. That said, he will be better for having a look at The Valley and with the rail in True, he will hopefully show his best and let down in the home straight.
The class horse of the field, just the track the only question mark.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $7 (as at 8am)
No.17 LA FALAISE – John Allen (Barrier 8)
LA FALAISE also heads to The Valley today where she will tackle the same race. She has drawn gate eight and John Allen will ride.
LA FALAISE got a spot in the field after a couple of scratchings in the race after starting as an emergency, having finished fifth in the qualifying heat that she arguably should have won with a bit more luck. That was a strong heat too so it bodes well for a good performance from her at at track she clearly like to run at having won a Group 2 there previously. She would love some of that rain to come along and from the barrier will get a great run with a good jockey on board.
She is going to be super competitive in this race and getting double figure odds to boot.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $10 (as at 8am)
