Ararat
Race 1 – Maid An Offer
Jockey – Neil Farley
1200m – Barrier 7
Three-year-old galloper Maid An Offer makes his racetrack debut over 1200-metres at Ararat this afternoon. The gelded son of Bon Hoffa was given a solid jumpout at Camperdown in preparation for today, running through the line strongly in an encouraging hitout. In-form hoop Neil Farley leaves from the outside barrier in a field of seven and will drift back early, finding cover before finishing off late in the piece.
A field full of debutants! One Sided Love went forward at her most recent jumpout and cruised around untouched in a nice piece of work. She’s drawn low here and could settle on speed, no surprise to see her in the finish. Road To Recovery was pushed out when second in her last jumpout at Camperdown, sitting on speed and recording fast time for the morning. She’s another who may go forward and get every chance from the front. Oh So Vein and No Cash Here are the other runners who caught the eye at the jumpouts, expect them to be thereabouts. Plenty to learn from this race.
Maid An Offer will improve from whatever he shows today, likely better suited up in trip next time out. He’ll get his chance to balance up and run through the line, and must be considered a top three hope off his most recent jumpout.
Currently, Maid An Offer is a $5.50 chance in the market.
