The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today in UNDER THE TASSELS and STRATESSA at Warrnambool.
Warrnambool – Soft (5)
The track has come up a Soft 5 after 2mm of irrigation yesterday taking it to 14mm for the week. You’d think at some point during the day there will be an upgrade to a Good 4. The rail is out 4m having been true at the most recent meeting and generally speaking this track has been racing very well of late. (FORM ANALYST MATT WELSH)
Race 4 (2:25 pm) 1400m GM Cabinets Maiden Plate
No.8 UNDER THE TASSELS – Mitch Aitken (Barrier 10)
UNDER THE TASSELS (10) heads to Warrnambool on Monday where she resumes in a 1400m Maiden (Race 4, 2.25pm). She has drawn gate ten and Mitch Aitken will take the ride.
UNDER THE TASSELS is first up off a decent break having last raced in July last year and she has a tongue tie going on for the first time. She has had three jump-outs to prepare for the 1400m first up which should have her close to the mark fitness-wise coming off that decent break. She was in the market at all four starts last campaign and produced ratings in each that would be good enough to see her in the finish. Drawing out is probably not ideal as she is a mare that could lob right on speed without doing too much work from a soft gate but if she’s right to go here fresh then she can certainly figure in the finish. (Form Analyst Matt Welsh)
This is a really suitable kickoff point for UNDER THE TASSELS with getting out over further coming later in this preparation. She has had three jumpouts leading into this run and will benefit immensely from these, We will look to ride her quiet from the barriers with the objective being to see her hitting the line strongly. The daughter of EPAULETTE finds a good race here to begin this campaign. (Stable)

No.9 STRATESSA – Mitch Aitken (Barrier 8)
STRATESSA (8) heads to Warrnambool on Monday where she will contest a 1400m BM64 (Race 5, 3.00pm). She has drawn gate eight and Mitch Aitken rides.
STRATESSA was good behind Yulong Justify in track record time two back at Murray Bridge and was then dropped back in grade when getting the cash at this track and trip last start. She was given an absolute peach of a ride by Michael Poy last time out in what was a moderate rating race, but by the same token her win was dominant. The strong tempo should suit and provided they are making ground down the middle then she will flash late, but this is a much deeper contest than last start. (Form Analyst Matt Welsh)
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $9.5 (as at 11am)
