Kilmore
Race 7 – Quick Fingers
Jockey – Madison Lloyd
1462m – Barrier 4
Four-year-old galloper Quick Fingers looks to bounce back at Kilmore this afternoon after a plain effort at Avoca a fortnight ago. The daughter of Caravaggio was impressive when winning her maiden the start prior, camping outside the leader and racing away in the home straight at Bendigo. Jockey Madison Lloyd has drawn favourably today and can employ similar tactics, looking to bounce cleanly and put herself on or just behind the speed.
Expect Belluna to boot through from the inside and hold its spot, while Northern Sky and Miss Santorini will roll across from wider out and put themselves in the picture early on. Miss Santorini had no luck at this track and trip last start, caught wide on the speed throughout and doing a good job to finish as close as she did. Prior runs have been good and she gets in well after an apprentice claim. Hardest to beat. Karatemiss comes back in grade for this but has drawn poorly. A strong tempo will see her running on late. Belluna can get a lovely run from the inside and will be right there turning for home, while Royal Rosie has each way claims after winning a similar contest last time out.
Quick Fingers just needs to step cleanly to put herself right in this. She should land in an ideal position for this track, and a repeat of her maiden win has her in the mix. A genuine each way chance.
Currently, Quick Fingers is a $5.50 chance in the market.
