Kilmore
Race 4 – Scarlet Desire
Jockey – Mitch Aitken
1600m – Barrier 12
Written Tycoon filly Scarlet Desire is third-up at a mile at Kilmore this afternoon. The three-year-old disappointed at Geelong last start but was good first-up at the same venue in a race that has produced multiple subsequent winners. Trainer Dwyer has indicated he would like to see his filly ridden more positively from the gates and take a forward position in today’s contest. Jockey Mitch Aitken has a long run to the first bend from the 1600-metre chute to get across from a wide draw at a track that generally favours those on or near the speed. Of the chances, You Betcha Woo is racing well and presents as the hardest to beat, while the market has On My Pat installed as favourite. If the Dwyer runner can run up to her fresh performance she has a real chance of a top-three finish today.
Currently, Scarlet Desire is a $19 chance in the market.
