Geelong – Good (4)
Very strong northerly winds forecast could have a big bearing on this meeting and if they reached the levels expected then cover might be valuable.
Race 8 (5pm) Taxi Network Geelong BM64 Handicap
No.7 TELEKINESIS – Zac Spain (Barrier 5)
TELEKINESIS heads to Geelong today where he will contest an 1125m BM64. He has drawn gate five and Zac Spain takes the ride.
TELEKINESIS gets away form the Ballarat Synthetic track which seems to be his favourite surface so the first challenge will be translating that recent form to the turf. He was home OK in a swoopers dominated race won by Secret Hero last time out in a contest that rated well enough to at least see him competitive here up in grade. From gate five he should get a nice midfield blending run that should ensure he gets every possible hope of a good clear run.
This is much stronger than what he’s been contesting of late, but there shouldn’t be any excuses from the speed map. Today’s track conditions will suit as he is better on top of the ground, but this is a strong enough race with some progressive types, so while he gets a good weight drop he might find some of these a bit sharp.
