Henry Dwyer Racing – Friday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today in VAYAMOS and BETTER TOMORROW running at Bendigo.

Bendigo- Good (4)

The track at Bendigo has come up a Good 4 and the rail is out in the 9m position. The key to how the track plays is going to be when the forecast rain comes that is due late this morning. If significant rain falls during the meeting then they will very quickly get away from the inside.

Race 2 (1pm) Adroit Bendigo Maiden Plate

No.2 VAYAMOS – John Allen (Barrier 11)

VAYAMOS makes his debut at Bendigo today where he will contest a 1300m Maiden. He has drawn gate eleven and John Allen will ride.

VAYAMOS has a tricky alley to overcome at his debut. He was beaten a fair way in a Geelong jump-out back on August 4 when drifting a long way back before making some late ground. He looked to improve notably in his most recent Tatura trial when he wasn’t knocked around in fifth and moved OK. His work past the line there at Tatura was solid and suggested that he’s going to be a gelding that gets out over a trip. The 1300m might be a touch sharp for him but hopefully he works to the line strongly with a view to getting over further.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $34 (as at 8am)

No.13 BETTER TOMORROW- Craig Atkinson (Barrier 12)

BETTER TOMORROW also heads to Bendigo today where he will contest the same race. He has drawn gate twelve and Craig Atkinson will take the ride.

BETTER TOMORROW is second-up today and will be fitter for his fifth last start at Ballarat Synthetic. The four-year-old son of Lohnro has a tough barrier today to navigate and faces plenty of stiff competition in this race. VAYAMOS starts next door to the stable mate but he will go back, while BETTER TOMORROW will find a spot where he is comfortable and where Craig Atkinson can slot in. Not a betting proposition today with the conditions he faces.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $41 (as at 8am)
