The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today with GIMME THE GOSS running at Werribee.
Werribee – Good (4)
Werribee is rated a Good 4. The variable may be forecast showers as it wouldn’t take much rain to impact the track. The rail is back to the true having been out 5m and with that inside few lanes being fresh ground expect those on speed, closer to the inside to have some edge.
Race 8 (5pm) Werribee FC v Williamstown FC 24/04 7PM
No.9 GIMME THE GOSS – Fred Kersley (Barrier 7)
GIMME THE GOSS heads to Werribee today where she will contest an 1100m BM64. She has drawn gate seven and Fred Kersley will ride.
GIMME THE GOSS has been given nearly a month between runs and has the blinkers off in place of winkers having run third at Kyneton last time out. Given the evident early speed in the race it wouldn’t surprise to see her settle a little bit further back than she has at her past couple and she’s drawn a good gate to enjoy a nice run in transit if she does. She has gone out well above standard through the first section of the race at her past two outings and rated better today she will be competitive, despite being up in grade.
Her gallop last week at Geelong was excellent, if she settles in the run today she can certainly be in the placings at each way odds in what looks like a very open race.
