The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner tonight at The Valley in MISTER MOGUL.
The Valley is ‘rock hard’ ahead of a forecast deluge which is expected to have significant impact on the track condition. Anywhere between 8 and 20mm is forecast throughout the day so given the BOM are giving such a wide range on the suggested rainfall, it will be somewhere between a Good 4 and Soft 7!

No.2 MISTER MOGUL – Ben Allen (Barrier 9)
MISTER MOGUL heads to The Valley tonight where he will contest a heat of the 955m Challenge. He has drawn gate nine and Ben Allen will ride.
The positive for MISTER MOGUL is he can handle both wet and dry conditions so that forecast rain won’t worry him. He was ridden a little quieter at Sandown last start to great effect, breaking through for another win over the 1000m course there. He has been to The Valley thee times for a win and a second so the track suits him and the 955m trip is ideal – he ticks a lot of boxes! There is a good deal of speed drawn underneath him so from then wide draw he will likely have to settle off speed, but with the right run in transit he can be competitive.
The horse to beat is clearly ALFA ORO and if he gets luck in running it’s his race to win. But a soft track is perfect for MISTER MOGUL, the outside barrier is ideal and he has a good record at the track. He’s in super order and is a good chance at odds and should be charging home late.
