Henry Dwyer Racing – Tuesday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in PAPER DRAGON running at Hamilton.

Hamilton – Good (4)

The track is rated a Good 4 and with a cloudy but largely dry day forecast today it may get up to a Good 3 as the meeting goes on. The rail is back to the true having been out 3m at the last two meeting when it raced fairly – that protected inside section may give some slight edge but you’d expect it to race well.

Race 2 (2pm) Ace Radio Maiden Plate

No.15 PAPER DRAGON – Tahlia Hope (Barrier 3)

PAPER DRAGON heads to Hamilton today where she will contest an 1100m Maiden. She has drawn gate three and Tahlia hope will ride.

PAPER DRAGON was eight-weeks between runs heading into Terang last time out where she hit the line OK over 1000m. She was slow out there and it was a tough day to make ground so happy to be a touch forgiving of that performance. She should strip fitter and provided she jumps cleanly from gate three she should get a much better run in transit. Her best is certainly good enough to figure in the finish of a race like this.

The inside barrier isn’t ideal as she can miss the kick, but hopefully today she can jump with them and box seat. VERMENTINO is clearly the horse to beat, but PAPER DRAGON is in good order and should be thereabouts come the finish.
