The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in HONORABLE MENTION running at Sandown.
Sandown – Soft (5)
This is the first meeting on the Sandown Lakeside track since September 1 so the ground should be pristine. The track has come up a Soft 6 and the rail is in the true position. With reasonably fine weather forecast you’d expect the track to dry out a touch and with light winds expected those on good horses should be very hard to run down.

No.13 HONORABLE MENTION – Blaike McDougall (Barrier 7)
HONORABLE MENTION heads to Sandown today where he will contest a 1600m BM64. He has drawn gate seven and Blaike McDougall will ride.
HONORABLE MENTION has been getting a fair way back in his races and he will again settle where he is comfortable today. He was totally luckless three back at Swan Hill, good late behind a subsequent China Bowl runner-up two back at Echuca and then worked home in the 10th best last 400/2nd best last 200m split of the meeting in running second at Swan Hill last time out. He was hard against the fence in the straight at Swan Hill which wasn’t the best ground on the track and the subsequent form out of the race has been strong.
He has been freshened ahead of today’s assignment and he has had a light preperation heading into today. He has clearly shown he has more to give from what he is showing post his races and hopefully today he can apply himself. This race isn’t a huge step up from Swan Hill so today is a good opportunity for him to run well. He will finish in the first four here with even luck.
