Henry Dwyer Racing – Friday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today in PAPER DRAGON running at Swan Hill.

Swan Hill – Good (4)

The track is going to come up a Good 4 on race morning but it will quickly be upgraded with fine, drying weather forecast. When this track dries out, it can be hard work trying to make ground from the tail.

Race 1 (12.55pm) Adroit Bendigo Maiden Plate

No.12 PAPER DRAGON – Zac Spain (Barrier 1)

PAPER DRAGON heads to Swan Hill today where she will contest a 975m Maiden. She has drawn gate one and Zac Spain will ride.

PAPER DRAGON never got into the race first up at Ballarat and it was ‘too bad to be true’. It was a day there seemed to be a fair deal of kickback for those runners back in the field so maybe that was a little excuse. She’s a filly that has shown good ability in her short career but she certainly needs to improve notably on what she did there, even if there were excuses. The upside is she has been back to the trials at Cranbourne since and she went OK there. The tongue tie goes on here which is another positive and she should get a soft run just behind the speed.

SUPER THIEF looks incredibly hard to beat here but outside of that it’s a fairly open affair and she can definetly run a competitive race here at odds. One for the multiples.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $26 (as at 8am)
