Racing is on the synthetic track at Ballarat which is a very fair surface that gives all horses their chance. Momentum is key.

No.6 VALENTINO’S ON – Ben Allen (Barrier 1)
VALENTINO’S ON heads to Ballarat today where she will contest a 1400m Fillies and Mares Maiden. She has drawn gate one and Ben Allen will take the ride.
VALENTINO’S ON brings good enough form to win this. She went forward on a heavy track at Ballarat last time out and was a touch plain over the concluding stages, although it was a race dominated by the backmarkers. She trialled behind a subsequent winner at Ballarat recently and that little tick-over bit of work suggested she is going well heading into this. She gets onto a firm track and from the inside she is either going to lead or sit leader’s back. This isn’t an overly strong race and VALENTINO’S ON is one of the horses to beat here.
She’s at the end of her preperation here so we are hopeful she can finish with a win.
