The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today in LEOLAINE and TELEKINESIS running at Ballarat.
Ballarat – All Weather Track
This meeting was originally scheduled to be on the turf track but persistent rain has forced it onto the synthetic. The track has been racing reasonably well throughout the synthetic season to date with it generally some advantage to be up on speed.
Race 2 (1.30pm) The Haymarket 2YO Fillies Maiden Plate
No.7 LEOLAINE – John Allen (Barrier 2)
LEOLAINE will make her debut at Ballarat today where she will contest an 1100m 2YO Fillies Maiden. She has drawn gate two and John Allen will ride.
LEOLAINE is nice and fit for this 1100m debut on the back of three jump-outs this campaign. She has enough tactical speed to make use of gate two and put herself in the early firing line, which is a big help here on the synthetic. She’s looked quite good in her latest two jump-outs and while she was given a solid test at St Arnaud, she seemed to respond well enough. She has drawn a nice gate, should get a soft run and has a top jockey on board – there’s a bit to like about this filly on debut.
She has been exposed to synthetic which is a huge plus for her today, she is going to be very competive and we are getting some good odds for her on debut.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $8.50 (as at 8am)

Race 5 (3pm) RMBL Investments Rising Stars Race
No.14 TELEKINESIS – Tom Stockdale (Barrier 1)
TELEKINESIS also heads to Ballarat today where he will contest a 1200m Benchmark 64. He has drawn gate one and Tom Stockdale will ride.
Nine horses have come out of this race and some strong chances amongst them with this an apprentice only race where we have booked Tom Stockdale. TELEKINESIS likes the all weather track which is a huge plus and the distance really suits and he has been ticking over nicely at St Leonards. The big challenge today is the barrier, he can’t be three back on the rail as he won’t be able to get rolling, so Tom will need to navigate that obstacle and look to get off the fence. His run was good first-up and while this is a slight step up in grade, he isn’t facing too much competition, so provided he can get off the fence prior to the 600 metres he is a good chance in this race. If he can’t, then it might be a task. Fingers crossed he gets favours in the run and he will be fighting out the finish.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $7.50 (as at 8am)
