The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has three runners today at Bendigo in MZURI STAR, VISTABELLE and TELEKINESIS.
Bendigo – Good (4)
Race 2 (1.35pm) Bendigo Mazda Maiden Plate
No.8 MZURI STAR – Michael Poy (Barrier 6)
MZURI STAR heads to Bendigo today where she will resume in a 1000 Maiden. She has drawn gate six and Michael Poy will ride.
MZURI STAR is well in commission here on the back of a solid jump-out at Ararat where she got back and was very strong on the line. She has a really nice turn of foot and campaigned well throughout winter without winning. The tongue tie goes on here and the 1000m distance seems to be her ideal trip. From gate six, she balances up in the second-half of the field and should get her chance late off what looks a reasonable enough tempo.
This is a lovely race for MZURI STAR and provided they go hard enough, she’s going to be very competitive in this race. She is a definite top three threat, knowing she will derive plenty of benefit from the run.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $5 (as at 8am)

Race 5 (3.20pm) The Big Screen Company F&M BM64 Handicap
No.3 VISTABELLE – Michael Poy (Barrier 5)
VISTABELLE also resumes at Bendigo today where she will run over 1100m in a BM64. She has drawn gate five and Michael Poy will ride.
VISTABELLE has always shown good ability and she got her maiden out of the way with an all-the-way 1400m win on the Synthetic at Ballarat two back. The 1100m is the bottom of her distance range but with the small field and very little tempo on paper she won’t struggle to keep up in the early stages. She has had just the one jump-out to prepare for this where she was beaten a fair way but wasn’t knocked around on the Ballarat Synthetic. She has class on her rivals and can certainly figure in the finish.
She’s in great order today and while this is just short of her ideal distance, in a small field she will be very strong late. They might be a touch sharp at this distance, but watch for her late.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $4.40 (as at 8am)

Race 6 (4pm) Bet365 Top Tote Plus BM58 Handicap
No.3 TELEKINESIS – Michael Poy (Barrier 1)
TELEKINESIS also resumes at Bendigo today where he will contest a 1000m BM58. He has drawn gate one and Michael Poy will ride.
TELEKINESIS resumes here on the back of a really strong jump-out at Ballarat. He sat outside the leader in that heat and wasn’t knocked around in running a narrow second, going to the line with a stack of petrol in the tank. His maiden win prior to a spell was dominant, dashing home in the best last 600/400/400m splits of the entire meeting to post a strong rating and it seems he does his best work on firm decks, which he will certainly get today.
He will improve off the run today and while the race doesn’t set up overly well for him from the barrier, he will be competitive today and with hopefully some luck in running, while be charging home late.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $3.90 (as at 8am)
