The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Geelong in BUDD FOX and MOSCOW RED.
Geelong is rated a Good 4 and with dry weather forecast it will be in the good range come race time. Geelong has been racing really well of late and with the rail going out 3m after being true on Cup Day it should again be an even racing surface.

No.1 BUDD FOX – Laura Lafferty a(2) (Barrier 3)
BUDD FOX resumes at Geelong today where he will contest the 1500m Ballan Cup at BM78 level. He has drawn gate three and Laura Lafferty will ride claiming 2kg.
BUDD FOX has had just the one jumpout at Geelong leading into this, on the Course Proper back straight. He showed decent toe there but is obviously going to be suited over further. His best ratings are well and truly up to this however they are over 2400m and 3000m. This is really just a pipe-opener today given the distance doesn’t suit, he will be ridden for luck and he will be better for the run and is all set for a great campaign.

No.5 MOSCOW RED – Will Price (Barrier 11)
MOSCOW RED also resumes at Geelong today where she will also contest the 1500m Ballan Cup. She has drawn gate eleven and Will Price will ride.
MOSCOW RED has had the one jump-out at Geelong leading into this where she got a long way back before working to the line strongly over the past 200m. Her best form is definitely on wet tracks but she was most competitive throughout last campaign around the 1500/1600m mark in arguably stronger races than what she contests here. She’s a good fresh mare who has twice won first up but the barrier is no spoil as Price will likely have to drift back in the early stages.
This is a lovely kick-off point to her campaign and she will get good improvement out of today. This looks a strong edition of the Ballan Cup and she will be ridden quietly, looking to run on late to finish midfield or slightly better.
