Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Coleraine in MANHATTAN STING and SOLAR COASTER.

Coleraine is rated a Soft 6 and is a reasonable draining track that should hold up reasonably well. Coleraine is a tight-turning circuit with a short straight so it can be challenging to make ground.

Coleraine – Soft (6)

Race 4 (2.11pm) Coleraine And District Bendigo Bank 0-58

No.1 MANHATTAN STING – Jaden Lloyd a(2) (Barrier 1)

MANHATTAN STING heads to Coleraine today where he will contest a 1300m 0-58. He has drawn gate one and Jayden Lloyd takes the ride.

This is a very weak 0-58 and MANHATTAN STING looks very well placed. His best quite simply wins this but he can mix his form a little. He is now six-weeks between a jump-out and today’s race but he only needs to have held his condition to be in the finish. His form around Sealed five back in a high-rating BM64 and third to Whittington Stone at Pakenham four back are both good enough performances to win this.

MANHATTAN STING will be winning if he can bring his best – this is a fairly moderate 0-58. However, from a punting perspective, he can be a little ‘hit and miss’.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $2.30 (as at 8am)

Race 6 (3.26pm) Ecycle Solutions 0 – 58 Handicap

No.3 SOLAR COASTER – Lucinda Boyd (Barrier 5)

SOLAR COASTER also heads to Coleraine today where he will contest a 2250m 0-58. He has drawn gate five and Lucinda Boyd takes the ride.

SOLAR COASTER is in good order after missing the jump’s season for a number of reasons, so he is getting one last flat run before we tip him out for next year’s jump season. He is very fit and will be ridden more positively today out of the barrier. He is such a honest horse and will give his best and is a good place chance in a very open race.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $10 (as at 8am)
