The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today at Kyneton in AMOROSITY.
This is the first meeting at Kyneton since April and as such the track should be in excellent order. The track is rated a Soft 7 and with showers forecast, this is unlikely to improve. Strong winds are forecast and if they eventuate it will increase the need for cover in the run. Kyneton is a tight-turning track with a short home straight and building momentum is the key – whether that be when up on speed or back in the field, you can’t leave your run until the short home straight.
Kyneton – Soft (7)
Race 1 (1pm) Hygain Maiden Plate
No.10 AMOROSITY – Alana Kelly a(2) (Barrier 6)
AMOROSITY heads to Kyneton today where she will contest an 1100m Maiden. She has drawn gate six and Alana Kelly will ride.
AMOROSITY had a nice run at Ballarat last start and was frankly a touch disappointing. She is a filly who should’ve broken her maiden at Donald four starts back but is now deep into a preparation. She is open to improvement off that last run on the synthetic as she was eight-weeks between runs and from a good draw she should get a nice run in transit here. She has run OK on soft tracks in then past and should get through it OK.
The field has fallen away dramatically with many of the main chances now out and while the soft track is not her best surface, she is a great chance now in this race.
