The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Bendigo in ART DEALER and IRISH PLAYBOY.
Bendigo is rated a Good 4 and the rail moves out 4m having been in the true position last time out. With that rail movement, they might get away from the fence as the day goes on but Bendigo as a rule races very well.
Bendigo – Good (4)
Race 1 (1pm) Vale Subzero Maiden Plate
No.2 ART DEALER – Ben Allen (Barrier 6)
ART DEALER heads today where he will make his debut in a 1300m Maiden. He has drawn gate eight and Ben Allen will ride.
ART DEALER has had two recent jump-outs at Ballarat and Geelong to prepare for this debut. He improved from jump-out to jump-out and he worked to the line at Geelong in his most recent effort. He is reasonably drawn in six and we expect him to balance up midfield and be strong late.
A very strong maiden here and he isn’t totally screwed down as yet, so he will be much better for the outing today.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $41 (as at 8am)

Race 5 (3.20pm) The Big Screen Company Handicap
No.7 IRISH PLAYBOY – Michael Poy (Barrier 1)
IRISH PLAYBOY also heads to Bendigo today where he will tackle a 1400m Class 1. He has drawn gate one and Michael Poy will ride.
IRISH PLAYBOY resumes here on the back of three jump-outs that should have him primed for the 1400m first up. He got back in his first two jump-outs and worked to the line solidly before heading to Geelong and working through the line impressive to win pulling away from his rivals. He has always shown above-average ability and it was surprising that it took him four starts to break his maiden, but it looks like he’s back in really good order and this is a most suitable race for him to kick-off his campaign.
This is a strong Class 1 race, but he can sit just in behind the speed from an inside draw and he should finish off strongly to be in the first four and be much better for the run.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $9.50 (as at 8am)
