The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has three runners today at Bendigo in MASTERKINDU, THERE YOU ARE and ELEGIST.
Bendigo is holding up OK as rain moves across the state and is rated a Heavy 9. The rail is back to the true having been out 8m at the most recent meeting Sunday week ago and you would expect that inside section to hold up well and horses on speed to have a slight edge, especially early in the day.
Bendigo – Heavy 9
Race 3 (1.30pm) TAC Be Races Ready Maiden Plate
No.2 MASTERKINDU – Ben Allen (Barrier 6)
MASTERKINDU heads to Bendigo today where he will tackle a 1400m Maiden. He has drawn gate six and Ben Allen will ride.
MASTERKINDU, a 3YO son of Mastercraftsman, has his first start today at Bendigo. He won a recent trial at Burrumbeet impressively but will be better over longer distances as he progresses through his campaign and today will be a good learning experience for him.
CAPTAIN CORELLI looks exceptionally hard to beat in this race but MASTERKINDU’s talent will take him a long way and he should be able to finish in the first four.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $7.50 (as at 8am)

Race 8 (4pm) Horse Of The Year Miss Leonidas BM70
No.7 THERE YOU ARE – Jamie Mott (Barrier 3)
THERE YOU ARE also heads to Bendigo today where he contests an 1100m BM70 Handicap. He has drawn gate three and Jamie Mott rides.
THERE YOU ARE got through a really heavy track well at The Valley last start so he should relish the conditions. That was a weaker BM70 than what he contests today but he maps to get a lovely run right behind that speed provided he comes back under Jamie Mott. He was slightly unlucky at Geelong the start prior and should only have fitness improvement to come being third up off a decent spell.
He will look the winner at some stage, hopefully he can hold on with the swoopers coming late.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $8 (as at 8am)

Race 9 (4.30pm) Silks Events And Functions Bm64 Handicap
No.6 ELEGIST – Ben Allen (Barrier 2)
ELEGIST is our third runner today at Bendigo where he will contest a 1000m BM64. He has drawn gate two and Ben Allen will ride.
ELEGIST blew any winning hope at the start at Ballarat last time out after missing the kick, he had to work really hard from the 800-400m mark to get into the race and that no doubt told over the final furlong. The barrier blanket goes on here in an attempt to ensure he jumps more cleanly but irrespective, he’s a horse that will generally end up out the back anyway. He has won on a Soft 5, but genuine heavy is some query, but there’s no doubt he has the talent to win a race like this, as his ratings suggest.
A winning chance but take on trust with track conditions as they are and the barrier where the outside will be favoured at that time of the day.
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $4.40 (as at 8am)
