The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has two runners today at Pakenham on the All Weather Track in SURE STRATEGY and RIGHTHERE RIGHTNOW.
Pakenham – All Weather Track
Race 3 (2pm) Iron Jack Australian Lagers Maiden Plate
No.8 SURE STRATEGY – Michael Poy (Barrier 4)
SURE STRATEGY heads to Pakenham today where she will contest a 1600m Maiden. She has drawn gate four and Michael Poy will ride.
Three and a half weeks between runs and stepping up to the mile today, it has taken a while to get her fit but she is looking great in her condition. She didn’t have much luck last start, she finished just behind AQAAREB who is one of the favourites today and we had a tougher run in the race. The filly is in great order, she has been doing everything right in her work and will probably get further than a mile in her career.
If she isn’t winning, she should go close today in what is an open race.

Race 7 (4pm) Dahlsens Bm58 Handicap
No.11 RIGHTHERE RIGHTNOW – Ben Allen (Barrier 10)
RIGHTHERE RIGHTNOW also heads to Pakenham today where she will tackle a 1400m BM58. She has drawn gate ten and Ben Allen will ride.
She is looking great at present and looks ready to go today. Her last couple of runs haven’t been great, but getting her off the wet tracks and back on top of the ground we should see a different horse today. 1400m is the upper limit of where she wants to be distance-wise, but her only win at Cranbourne was at the distance, albeit she was getting tired.
She will be ridden positively by Ben Allen and hopefully she can get across from the barrier without doing too much work, whatever she does today is her best and that should be thereabouts in a race like this.
