Henry Dwyer Racing – Friday Preview at Geelong

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has one runner today at Geelong in TURNCOAT.

Geelong is rated a Soft 5 and with fine weather forecast it will likely race in that range. The Geelong track has been racing very well of late and with the rail going from the true to the 3m position. With light winds forecast, I’d expect it to be a slight advantage to be on speed, but expect all horses to get their chance.

Race 3 (1.30pm) Adroit Insurance & Risk Maiden Plate

No.9 TURNCOAT – Ben Melham (Barrier 1)

TURNCOAT heads to Geelong today where she will contest a 1112m Maiden. She has drawn gate one and Ben Melham will ride.

TURNCOAT finally draws a gate for the first time this preparation. She strikes a very winnable race coming out of a strong maiden where the second horse has since gone on and won. She can get a lovely run in transit from the soft draw and of the raced brigade is clearly the horse to beat.

KING CASSIUS and BOSSY CHLOE look the hardest to beat, but TURNCOAT gets her best chance to break her maiden status.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $4 (as at 8am)
