He should enjoy sitting off what looks a hot speed here set by Tavirun, Shepard and Maliseet. He was excellent from the tail of the field in the Aspley Cup and that continues a good run of form having won his two prior runs at Casterton and Bendigo – both wins rating well enough to see him right in the finish today. He maps to get a nice run, loves the softer tracks and is at peak fitness – so ticks plenty of boxes. Should be competitive.
