Henry Dwyer Racing – Friday Preview

Murray Bridge

Race 4 – Sawbay

Jockey – Ben Price

2000m – Barrier 9

Four-year-old mare Sawbay gets blinkers for the first time when she crosses to border to Murray Bridge today. The daughter of Ghibellines has been solid at her past two starts, making good late ground on both occasions and looks suited to the wide expanses of the Murray Bridge circuit. Jockey Ben Price rides today and can settle midfield with cover throughout, finding the middle of the track to run on in the home straight.

Not a great deal of early speed to speak off, expecting Turned Loose and Detoron to roll forward and settle handy, but if anything wants to take them on they’ll probably end up leading. Skinny event. Detoron has been racing okay of late and should get every chance from up near the speed. One win from twenty-four starts the obvious knock but rarely runs poorly. Hardest to beat. I Love This Song beat Son Of Vadamos and Turned Loose in a Strathalbyn Maiden last week. Not much between them there and expect them to fill the placings. Hard to entertain anything else.

Sawbay strikes a very winnable race today on a track she has time to wind up and hit the line. She brings solid form into this and you’d think only needs even luck to be winning.

Currently, Sawbay is a $1.80 chance in the market.
