Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Preview

Bendigo

Race 7 – Permutation

Jockey – Alysha Warren

1500m – Barrier 12

Resuming galloper Permutation makes his stable debut at Bendigo today, following an extended stint on the sidelines. The gelded son of Fighting Sun was last seen at the races in April last year, but a pair of recent jumpouts suggest he has returned in good order for his first-up assignment today. Jockey Alysha Warren leaves from an outside gate and will ease back in the early parts, enjoying a soft run throughout and able to run through the line late in the piece.

Not a heap of early speed in this, but expect Shigeru to push forward from an inside draw, while Kensal Green is likely to find a prominent position in the run from wider out. Open affair. Igotcha comes back in grade for her second-up run today, following a good closing effort here when fresh at 1300-metres. Extra furlong today suits, one of the main hopes. Sugar And Sweet was one of few that were able to make ground at Horsham a fortnight ago, powering home into third position on heavy ground. Back on a dry surface today, but must be considered an each way hope. So too Bellalique, who keeps racing well and looks close to another win. A dry surface plays into her hands. Concede chances to Undaunting and Salchow in a wide open affair.

Permutation will find today well short of his best, but a good kick-off point for his preparation. His jumpouts have been sound, and he’ll get his chance to run on in the home straight carrying just 54kg. Just a watch for today, but looking forward to seeing him back at the races.

Currently, Permutation is a $34 chance in the market.
