Henry Dwyer Racing – Sunday Racing

Sandown

Race 5 – Alors Tu Crois

Jockey – Will Price

1800m – Barrier 2

Five-year-old mare Alors Tu Crois looks to bounce back today following a torrid run at The Valley three weeks ago. The daughter of So You Think was pestered in front on that occasion, caught wide early and setting an impossibly fast tempo, before fading and eased down late. Jockey Will Price has drawn favourably today and should have no such issues here, able to jump quickly and settle leaders’ back throughout.

Hennessy Lad has drawn wide and will roll across to contest the lead early on, stepping beyond a mile for the first time this preparation. Queen Air may come across with him, while it would be no surprise to see Thought Of That and Legend Of Dubai ridden positively from their good draws. Worsfold is third-up and rises sharply in distance today, boasting a good record around this circuit (5:3-0-0). He’ll get back from a wide barrier and be working home late. Each way claims. Legend Of Dubai has run well at all three starts this campaign and looks close to breaking through for his first Australian win. He’ll go forward and be given every chance in the run. Hennessy Lad beat Legend Of Dubai two starts back before a sound effort up in grade at The Valley three weeks back. Expect another honest showing from him here. Concede an each way chance to Foujita San who is rarely far away.

Alors Tu Crois rises in class but is suited coming back to 1800-metres today. She should lob in the box seat behind the leaders and have fresh legs turning for home. She needs only to run up to her winning efforts two starts ago to be competitive in this. An each way chance today.

Currently, Alors Tu Crois is a $34 chance in the market.
