Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday Preview

Tatura

Race 6 – Kyteler

Jockey – Mitch Aitken

1450m – Barrier 10

Last start placegetter Kyteler heads to Tatura third-up and fitter this afternoon. The gelded son of Shamus Award loomed up to win at Horsham last time out, peaking on his run to finish third, beaten in a busy finale a fortnight ago. Jockey Mitch Aitken has drawn an outside barrier here and will be positive from the start, with blinkers applied for the first time.

Eitilt is an out-and-out leader and will go forward from barrier eight, giving Kyteler a nice cart across in the early stages. Hibernia Queen is another who likes to be prominent in the run, while Hazard A Guess won his maiden from the front last time out. He’s been racing well of late, placing in four previous runs before breaking through at 1400-metres two weeks ago. He’ll take confidence from that result and could be ready to go on with the job now. One For Rocky will be better suited back to this trip, racing well without winning of late. He’s drawn for a nice run and has strong each way claims. So too Hunitchiwa who looks close to a win after solid efforts at her past three. She can get the box seat from barrier two and shapes as hardest to beat. Concede an each way chance to Kia Hohe, whose best efforts have him in the mix here.

Kyteler looked the winner with 100-metres to go last start, and the gear change today could be the key to helping him stay switched on right to the line. He’s fitter for two runs this preparation and will get every chance from up near the speed today. If he finds a position early, he can be strong throughout and be right there in the finish. Genuine each way claims.

Currently, Kyteler is a $4.60 chance in the market.
