Henry Dwyer Racing – Friday preview

Stawell

Race 6 – Rock Dee Jay

Jockey – Jack Hill

1300m – Barrier 2

Four-year-old gelding Rock Dee Jay gets back out to 1300-metres today in race six at Stawell. The Dwyer runner stormed home from the tail at Colac last start when an unlucky third, beaten 0.2 lengths after being snookered on the rail at a vital stage. The son of Awesome Rock has again drawn an inside gate and jockey Jack Hill will need clear galloping room approaching the home turn to avoid a repeat of his Colac run. Today’s race is a competitive affair, with the market showing eight runners in single figures. Andrew Bobbin’s ex-kiwi Belthil looks to have talent while Ashim has been trialling well for Tom Dabernig. Rock Dee Jay has been racing in good heart this campaign and with an ounce of luck will be right in the finish here.

Currently, Rock Dee Jay is a $9.50 chance in the market.
